October 10th 2014, Phnom Penh – Rotha Leading Center celebrates its 4th anniversary with a full-day leadership program at Norton University. The day was a time when Cambodian leaders came together to share best practices and success stories as well as identify ways to improve leadership efforts in Cambodia.
Rotha leading center is a research center with a focus on creating and emphasizing leadership in Cambodia with the mission of “Empowering Greatness for Cambodian People”. For the occasion different Cambodian leaders from the government, private sector and NGOs joined the day to talk about leadership development – what it takes to become and stay one.
Ms. SOK Channda, CEO of Anana Group and only woman leader and guest speaker on the day, was invited to join the event and share her views on leadership. Answering to questions from the participants, Ms. SOK discoursed about her position within Anana Group, how leadership takes more than one person into account – it is about sharing one’s knowledge and experiences with colleagues to better grow a company. "“I did not go to University or College, so I do not know what leadership is in theory, but because of my experience in running business for decades starting from being a flower seller until becoming a leader of many employees today, I think that the most important things a leader should have are Respect and Share" said Madam Sok Channda.
A day of learning and community The Leadership Day was a great occasion to learn from and enjoy fellowship with members of the top organizations devoted to share experience.
